In this position you will…

  • Support our District Field teams and facilitate the commercial management processes in order to drive increased sales.
  • Interface with Volvo dealers, internal and field-based stakeholders, and act as the center point of the sales-to-order and order-to-delivery processes.
  • Manage machine availability, quotes, dealer program eligibility and special discounts credit management, machine sales forecasting, sales inventory control, and be the reference point for other troubleshooting for retail programs, logistics and order management.  


This role will help you to gain the knowledge, experience, and build key relationships across Volvo CE Field Sales Team. 

Responsibilities

  • Quote machine availability, making use of available production slots, Volvo-owned inventory and interfacing with the dealer network to ensure machines can be delivered as requested by customers.
  • Lead and facilitate the District’s forecasting process, following up on the templates that come from dealers / field teams and running the monthly forecast loop meetings to check consistency.
  • Execute the sales programs assigned to each dealer, making sure information and credits are done timely and correctly.
  • Quote machine pricing and manage price protection in tandem with published price increases.
  • Interact with dealers and Volvo Financial Services (VFS) to analyze machine retail program eligibility.
  • Ensure accurate and timely retail reporting for assigned dealers.
  • Work in tandem with field personnel to facilitate communication between dealers and Volvo central support functions.
  • Ensure dealers and internal teams make effective use of prospecting tools including CRM, in which SPCs (Special Price Considerations) are managed.
  • Coordinate with VFS and dealers to facilitate all dealer-to-dealer transfers.
  • Provide dealer training on all Commercial Management procedures, systems and tools.
  • Work in conjunction with Volvo logistics and all Volvo factories to capture incremental sales.
  • Manage Volvo Sales Region inventory, securing production allocations to ensure turnover is adequate.
  • Troubleshooting for field teams and dealers on general sales process matters.
  • Manage Revenue Generated Units (RGU) estimate for Regions Americas, working closely with finance, logistics and Latin America’s Commercial Management.
  • Coordination of Volvo Owned Fleet unit moves with various transport carriers for demoes, trainings, tradeshows and Volvo supported events.
  • Support Key Accounts and National Rental Accounts sales teams on all Commercial Management needs, including forecasting, ordering, production follow-up and delivery coordination.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline
  • 2+ yrs. of experience in Logistics, Analysis, and/or Sales
  • Experience with construction or heavy equipment industry.

For this position, the base salary range is set at $72,600 - $89,700, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered,  is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
