Certified Advisor - Student Success - SPC - req13845

Performs moderate to complex work providing advising to students from entry to completion. Responsible for implementing the academic advising strategies and achievement of student learning outcomes. May provide services for special populations. Additional job duties include monitoring and following-up on student progress and enrollment to ensure VA procedures and requisites are met. Reviews various documents to assure students meet enrollment requirements for approved degree or certificate program, GPA requirements, and benefit program requirements. Monitors VA funded payments to students and the college as required; follows-up with, and resolves tuition payment discrepancy issues; investigates delays and clarification of payments with VA. Processes changes in enrollment status for adds, drops, schedule changes; submits related reports to Veterans Administration; coordinates concurrent enrollment with other colleges.
