Job Description
The Position:The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Manager, reporting to the Director Inventory Control and Quality Assurance, will assist in the development, implementation, and execution of all functions relating to Inventory Control and Quality Assurance. Will partner with other department heads to assign counts, train employees, resolve discrepancies, and develop corrective actions when needed.
The compensation range for this position starts at $80K per year, depending on experience.
This position will work 8:00am- 4:30pm, Monday- Friday.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Leads the development, implementation, and monitoring of all inventory control and quality assurance functions, including management of the company-wide cycle count program, customer-level physical inventories, and location spot audits.
Analyzes inventory and quality trends to identify variance drivers, initiates and approves corrective actions, and collaborates with operations on implementation of process changes and improvements.
Manages all ICQA reporting, including ICQA Boards, weekly/monthly/YTD KPI reporting, inventory accuracy trends, reconciliations, and audit results communicated to facility leadership.
Reviews and approves all NCR/CAR responses prior to final Quality submission; manages the NCR system and maintains records for inventory audits and reconciliations.
Analyzes inventory management systems and procedures, recommending and coordinating system modifications to improve integrity, control, and alignment with company objectives.
Ensures all critical functions are supported by current, documented procedures and work instructions; responsible for completion and documentation of all ICQA-related training for warehouse and supervisory personnel.
Conducts ongoing operational audits against best practices, develops action plans based on findings, and reports results to facility leadership.
Champions Quality initiatives in partnership with facility leadership; conducts and reports on Quality Audits per customer SLA agreements and oversees Quality and Inventory projects as directed.
Champions the GGOB program, including effective communication of targets and results and oversight of mini-games to improve productivity and customer experience; maintains ongoing knowledge of new standards and quality certifications.
May have customer-facing interaction; travel required up to 25% of the time; performs other duties as assigned based on individual facility needs.
Qualifications:
A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a leadership position within the ICQA function.
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working with a WMS and end-users in an Operations environment.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, required; may substitute 8 years of experience in lieu of degree. Certification in ASQ, Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant certification preferred.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).
Experience with Share Point preferred.
Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
