The Transportation Coordinator will assist in Non-Merchandise Outbound Transportation operations across both Domestic and International networks by working through daily functions supporting store construction, internal customers, and third-party (3P) vendor shipments. This role supports project-based transportation, including new store builds, remodels, and operational supply movements. Transportation modes including LTL/FTL, Parcel, Expedited, and International freight will be supported from origin to stores, distribution centers, and other global project locations.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
Provide assistance to internal customers related to routing, tracking, and delivery performance for non-merchandise shipments
Coordinate and manage transportation for store construction materials, fixtures, supplies, and other project-related freight
Field inquiries from internal customers and external vendors regarding shipment issues, carrier services, project timelines, and team processes
Partner with 3P vendors and project teams to ensure alignment on shipping schedules, milestones, and delivery requirements
Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and external service providers to support project execution and resolve transportation challenges
Contribute to process improvements, both within Transportation and across cross-functional partners supporting non-merchandise operations
Perform ad hoc data collection and support basic analysis as needed to improve project execution and cost efficiency
Perform updates in vendor profile systems and freight audit applications, ensuring accurate setup for non-standard and project-based shipments
Execute performance reporting and track key carrier performance metrics, including on-time delivery and exception management
Communicate with carrier and vendor partners on shipping schedules, operational constraints, and resolution of delivery exceptions
What Do You Need To Bring?
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, with the ability to analyze data and present insights
Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers, including cross-functional project stakeholders
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with complex, multi-leg shipments
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities across multiple projects and timelines
Creative thinking and problem-solving mindset, particularly in non-standard transportation scenarios (growth mindset)
