OSHC Coordinator | Ipswich Junior Grammar School

Join us at Helping Hands Ipswich Junior, as an OSHC Coordinator and lead a team of passionate Educators while making a real impact on the lives of children! This is a permanent, full-time role, including 12 non-contact paid admin hours. You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday: 6:30-9:00am (Rise then Shine) and 2:00-6:00pm (Stay and Play).

About your new role

As a Coordinator, you’ll be leading a team of passionate Educators and overseeing an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership: 

• Design and lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
• Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration, with time allocated to do this well.
• Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
• Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
• Be supported by experienced Regional Managers and a dedicated Support Office so you’re never doing it alone.

If you have a passion for supporting children, we’d love to hear from you! Here’s what we’re looking for: 

• Achieved or working towards Diploma qualification in a relevant field, or at least two years of full-time study towards an ACECQA-approved qualification
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
• A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow. 
• Strong communication skills—you’ll be leading by example! 
• A team player who inspires others and encourages growth. 
• You have (or are willing to obtain) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check. 
• Australian work rights.
