Logistics Coordinator (13 month contract)

We are currently recruiting for a temporary full-time Logistics Coordinator to support our Logistics team.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President, In-Hospital Logistics, the Logistics Coordinator is accountable for regional backorder management, product conversion and new contract execution, coordination and tracking of product recalls, occasional in-hospital activities, and other projects as required.
Key Responsibilities
Backorder Management
Daily review of stockless backorder report
Action backorders, following MMC backorder process
Escalate “critical” backorders as necessary with MitigAid team
Work with 3PL on developing seamless substitute process
Collaborate with MMC BI to design/develop a substitute database record that can be easily accessed for each hospital organization
Coordinate sourcing of alternate products with MMC Sourcing, hospital logistics team and clinical leads where required
Proactively identify any risks associated with backorders
Product Conversions
Collaborate with 3PL and MMC Logistics team with timing and execution of product conversions ensuring on-time implementation
Collaborate with Sourcing on MMC Conversion Dashboard to ensure seamless information/data transfer
Compile all product usage reports as required by hospital
Document conversion process in a policy and workflow diagram
Recall Management
Monitor MitigAid e-mails
Ensure prompt response to all recall alerts
Coordinate with Hospital Logistics Team, 3PL, Hospital Risk Management and other Vendors as required to ensure all Recall action items are completed promptly
Logistics Support
Occasional relief of in-hospital logistics supervisors for vacation and sick coverage if required
Ad-hoc projects as required by Vice President, In-Hospital Logistics
Compile reports as required by MMC Logistics Staff
Qualifications and Skills
Education, Training, and Experience
Mandatory
College Diploma or University Degree in business or supply chain related field
Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in supply chain or logistics support role
Preferred
CSCMP, P.Log or other supply chain related designation
Leadership Experience and Hospital Experience is an asset
Skills and Competencies
Effective communicator with all stakeholders, ability to clearly summarize and lay out current state, next steps
Computer – Proficient MS Excel Skills. Experience in using pivot tables
Strong data analytics and interpretation skills, with the ability to quickly analyze raw data, identify trends, prioritize tasks based on insights, and manipulate Excel files to create customized reports and present data according to customer requirements
Financial – Efficiently calculate cost impact by hospital in the event of a backorder or recall
Customer focused – Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with hospital staff, residents, customers, employees, contractors. Effective communicator both by phone and email.
Travel
Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.

MMC is a Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) employer offering a comprehensive benefits package and flexible remote work options. The targeted hiring range of this role is $62,096 - $72,778 dependent on experience. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
