Consultant, Payroll Solutions

Department: Operations

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Reporting To: Team Manager, Payroll Solutions

Description

Under the guidance of the Payroll Team Manager, you will manage end-to-end payroll operations and client accounts, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery. You will also act as a trusted advisor to clients on payroll matters, maintaining strong relationships while ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.



On a typical day, you’ll be…

  • Processing payroll accurately and on time in line with service level agreements
  • Managing client accounts, responding to queries, and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Preparing payroll reports, statutory submissions, and ensuring compliance with local regulations
  • Coordinating with internal teams (e.g. Finance and IT) to ensure smooth payroll operations and system accuracy
  • Handling payroll changes, reconciliations, and banking administration with proper controls
  • Supporting system updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring statutory changes are reflected
  • Ensuring invoicing accuracy, and supporting renewals
  • Initiate and attending monthly governance call or meetings with clients to discuss area for improvement, if any  



To be truly effective you will…

  • Have good knowledge of Malaysian payroll processes, statutory requirements, and labour laws
  • Have similar field ie. Payroll /Outsourcing environment experience for at least two (2) years and above.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Be proactive, responsive, and able to manage multiple client accounts effectively
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Show good problem-solving skills and know when to escalate issues appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards of integrity
  • Be collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement in service delivery
