Job Description
Position Summary
The Order Management Consultant is responsible for supporting the sales-to-order lifecycle by reviewing completed sales opportunities, validating required documentation and customer information, and creating accurate records used for implementation and billing. This role serves as a key liaison between Sales, Finance, Service Delivery, and other internal teams to ensure opportunities are processed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Review sales opportunities and the supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance before order creation.
Create customer location records and CPE records in Salesforce.
Validate customer details including service address, product configuration, pricing approvals, and required internal fields prior to order submission.
Partner with Sales, Finance, and Service Delivery to resolve opportunity discrepancies.
Maintain knowledge of internal sales stages, opportunity workflows, and process requirements to support efficient processing.
Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders regarding status, requirements, risks, and timelines.
Support process improvement efforts that simplify order entry, improve data quality, and enhance the sales and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
Experience working with CRM/order-entry platforms such as Salesforce.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
