Role Overview
The Warehouse Coordinator plays a key role within the Supply Chain function, supporting operational activities to ensure efficient planning, coordination, and execution of warehousing and distribution processes. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, overseeing product handling, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to quality, safety, and cost-efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in accordance with company procedures.
Perform warehouse activities including sorting, stacking, picking, packing, and issuing of products.
Manage work order picking, product movement, and transfer processing.
Ensure proper packaging of items in line with specifications and quality standards.
Inventory & Control
Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper documentation of stock movements.
Ensure accountability and security of materials, tools, and products.
Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and reconciliations.
Logistics & Coordination
Coordinate import and export activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Assist in distribution planning and execution to meet delivery timelines.
Identify delivery issues and propose practical solutions to improve transport efficiency and service levels.
Support the development and maintenance of transport schedules with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
Operational Support
Handle clerical and administrative support tasks related to warehouse and logistics operations.
Perform semi-skilled or specialized tasks within warehouse and field environments as required.
Provide support in both office and operational settings.
Collaboration & Communication
Interact with internal stakeholders to exchange operational information and updates.
Work independently while serving as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company Quality standards and Health & Safety policies.
Promote a safe and organized working environment at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Good understanding of warehouse processes, inventory control, and distribution operations.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage non-routine situations with initiative.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and key issues from complex or incomplete data.
Basic proficiency in warehouse systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
Experience working in a distribution center or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with import/export processes and documentation.
Knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
