Paramedic

The DART paramedic provides advanced life support (ALS) care in the prehospital setting as a ground response paramedic representing Conemaugh Health System, assisting outside EMS agencies in delivering high-quality patient care from initial contact through transfer to the receiving facility. This role assumes responsibility and accountability for treatment outcomes across all age groups—neonate through geriatric—while practicing within Pennsylvania Department of Health EMS guidelines, maintaining clinical competency, ensuring equipment readiness, and fostering strong collaborative relationships with EMS providers, hospitals, physicians, ER staff and the community.
