Reporting to the CEE People Solutions Director, this role serves as the primary People Solutions partner for Bulgaria, acting as the main advisor to the Country Lead and key business stakeholders on all people-related matters.
The People Solutions Lead plays a critical role in aligning people strategy with business objectives, supporting organizational effectiveness, and ensuring a consistent and high-quality employee experience across the country. The role combines strategic business partnering with hands-on HR leadership, covering employee relations, compliance, performance management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and talent initiatives.
As the main point of contact for People Solutions in Bulgaria, the role is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies, local labor legislation, and global standards, while providing practical guidance to leaders on employee relations matters, organizational change, performance issues, and workforce decisions.
The role supports the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal mobility, performance management processes, disciplinary actions, Performance Success Plans (PSPs), dismissals, and engagement action planning. In addition, the position is responsible for maintaining Workday data integrity, managing escalations and employee concerns, partnering on talent and learning initiatives, and using people analytics and performance metrics to identify trends and drive informed business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Act as business partner to the Country Lead on all people-related matters
- Safeguard internal compliance with company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with local labor law and practices
- Act as the primary point of contact for all People Solutions matters in Bulgaria
- Ensure Workday data integrity by identifying and correcting discrepancies, including supervisory organization issues
- Manage escalations and employee concerns effectively and in a timely manner
- Support performance management processes, including disciplinary procedures, Performance Success Plans (PSPs), and dismissals
- Support business needs related to ramp-ups, ramp-downs, internal mobility, and onboarding
- Collaborate with business stakeholders on Your Employee Survey results and drive action planning
- Facilitate Talent and Learning & Development initiatives (e.g., APR, Assess Potential, Talent Reviews)
- Monitor and analyse people performance metrics and take appropriate actions based on insights
Experience
- 6+ years of relevant HR / People Solutions / HRBP experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in employee relations and performance management
- Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders and managers
- Experience in multinational or matrix organizations preferred
- Strong knowledge of Bulgarian labor law
- Good understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Knowledge of performance management processes, including disciplinary actions, PSPs, and dismissals
- Understanding of workforce planning, organizational changes, and internal mobility
- Familiarity with employee engagement and talent management processes
- Experience with Workday preferred
- Strong HRIS data management skills
- Ability to ensure data integrity and correct system discrepancies
- Experience using HR data, reports, and analytics for decision-making
- Fluency in both English and Bulgarian language
