This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!  Kardium has a unique opportunity for an Electronics Technician\Technologist to help build, test and troubleshoot the next generation of high-quality medical devices. Technicians and Technologists with skills and knowledge acquired through at least 1 year of experience should consider applying.    What you’ll be doing As an electronics technician\technologist, you will gain hands-on experience in the building, testing and troubleshooting of complex and leading-edge medical devices.  Specific responsibilities of an Electronics Technician\Technologist include:  Assemble prototypes (e.g. cables, circuit boards, electromechanical assemblies) and provide feedback on assembly procedures  Assist engineering with testing of prototypes  Lead technical investigations\troubleshooting  Maintain electrical engineering lab areas, including ESD protected areas and high voltage test areas  Performing other tasks as assigned    What you bring to the team Our Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about developing cutting-edge medical devices to help improve people’s lives. We understand that only by working together can we solve what was thought unsolvable.  You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:  Experience with basic electromechanical parts assembly techniques such as soldering, crimping, and fastening  Experience with assembly of precision mechanical components  Experience with soldering through-hole and surface mount components in board assemblies  Experience with hand tools and electrical test equipment   Experience with technical software applications  A strong drive to succeed with a track record of being highly productive  Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail  Excellent written & verbal communication and technical documentation skills  Knowledge of basic electrical principles  Previous education or experience in a technical field  Able to deal with changing priorities and requirements  Able to execute tasks with minimal instruction and guidance  Able to rapidly understand new concepts and acquire new skills    Compensation Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs.
