Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of the Supply Chain team, the Category Specialist drives competitive advantage through effective category management leveraging data-driven insights, strategic sourcing, and strong supplier partnerships to deliver cost savings, ensure supply continuity, and enable operational excellence across the organization.
About the Role:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive category sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Drive supplier selection and qualification processes through RFI/RFQ activities, ensuring alignment with technical, quality, and commercial requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations and establish OEM Supply Agreements and/or Distribution Agreements with suppliers.
- Manage and execute supply chain initiatives focused on cost savings, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field with 5+ years previous experience in category management
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Understanding of medical devices and industry regulations.
- Willingness to flex work hours as necessary to engage with global teams and supply partners.
