We enable any scientist to access AI-powered drug discovery. Thousands of scientists from large pharma companies, top biotechs, and academic institutions use Tamarind to design protein drugs, improve industrial enzymes, and create cutting edge molecules that weren’t feasible until now.

New AI models are quickly eclipsing physics-based tools in computational drug discovery. Scientists often struggle to fine-tune, deploy, and scale these models, leaving breakthroughs on the table. Tamarind provides a simple interface to the vast array of tools being released daily.

Founding GTM Product Marketer

About the Role

We're hiring an exceptional Founding GTM Product Marketer to help define how Tamarind is presented to the world.

We've grown from 0 to multi-million ARR in under two years, working with many of the top 20 pharma companies. As one of our first GTM hires, you'll partner directly with the founders to build our marketing foundation — shaping our brand, messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy from the ground up.

This is not a traditional product marketing role.

You'll sit at the intersection of product, customers, and growth, helping translate highly technical AI and computational biology concepts into compelling stories that resonate with scientists, executives, and enterprise buyers.

You'll help define how Tamarind communicates its value across every customer touchpoint — from website copy and product launches to conference presence, customer stories, and demand generation campaigns.

What You'll Do

  • Partner directly with founders to define Tamarind's brand, messaging, and market positioning

  • Translate complex AI, infrastructure, and computational biology concepts into simple, compelling marketing content

  • Own product positioning and messaging across website, collateral, presentations, and customer-facing materials

  • Develop content that helps customers understand the value of Tamarind's platform and capabilities

  • Create product launch plans and GTM campaigns for new features, workflows, and model releases

  • Build customer case studies, success stories, technical blogs, and thought leadership content

  • Work closely with customers to understand pain points and translate insights into marketing strategy

  • Support conference strategy, event marketing, and industry presence

  • Partner with sales and founders to refine messaging based on customer conversations and market feedback

  • Help establish Tamarind's marketing function, processes, and early growth initiatives

Week in the Life

  • Collaborate with founders on messaging, positioning, and strategic GTM initiatives

  • Interview customers and scientists to better understand user needs and success stories

  • Develop website content, product narratives, and launch materials

  • Create presentations and collateral for enterprise customers and industry events

  • Partner with engineering and product teams to translate technical capabilities into market-ready messaging

  • Support conference planning, thought leadership initiatives, and content development

  • Run experiments across content, brand, and demand generation efforts

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience in Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, Content Marketing, or a related GTM role

  • Strong ability to simplify highly technical products into clear customer-facing narratives

  • Excellent written communication and storytelling skills

  • Experience working closely with founders, product teams, and customers

  • High agency and ability to operate in ambiguity

  • Passion for building from zero in an early-stage startup environment

  • Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco and travel as needed

  • Curiosity and interest in AI, life sciences, developer tools, infrastructure, or emerging technologies

Pluses

  • Experience marketing AI, infrastructure, developer platforms, scientific software, or technical products

  • Background in life sciences, biotechnology, computational biology, or healthcare technology

  • Experience creating technical content, case studies, webinars, or thought leadership programs

  • Strong design instincts and ability to create compelling presentations and marketing assets

  • Experience supporting founder-led growth motions

Technology

Tamarind sits at the intersection of DevOps, MLOps, and Computational Biology. We enable scientists to run, fine-tune, and scale AI models (e.g. AlphaFold and beyond) without managing infrastructure — orchestrating workflows across GPUs, APIs, and research pipelines.

The challenge is not just building the technology — it's helping the world understand what's possible with it. This role will play a foundational part in defining that story.
