Job Description
The Aftermarket Parts Marketing Analyst will primarily focus on identifying and developing sales and marketing opportunities to maximize aftermarket parts sales and margins for CLARK over the long term. This position will obtain data, analyze results of product and marketing initiatives to measure their effectiveness and formulate action plans to make adjustments/improvements in current and future aftermarket parts marketing initiatives.
Essential Duties:
Create and manage new aftermarket parts sales program offerings; identify and implement enhancements to existing programs utilizing market, Aftermarket Regional Sales Managers and dealer feedback
Define, plan and lead the implementation, coordination, and execution of all parts marketing activities including incentive and promotional programs/offerings including annual parts trips
Benchmark, report and recommend market pricing/localization for various product types and commodities to maximize parts sales margins
Prepare & present all necessary reports, presentations, analysis, trends and queries on program results and initiatives to Management (drop ship, FMP, Industrial Battery & Charger, etc.)
Identify complementary product lines or existing product line expansion opportunities and make recommendations to Management within the scope of marketing strategies
Meet with new and existing vendors/suppliers as necessary to improve processes and/or gain program feedback
Provide dealer support for wholesale promotion programs
Support the Aftermarket Regional Sales Managers in implementing labeling, identification & packaging strategies for CLARK OEM, Drop Ship & CLARK All Parts (all makes program) products
Track competitive wholesale promotional activities to predict any competitive responses to CLARK activities
Identify and build competitive intelligence on all major CLARK wholesale competitors
Develop profiles of competitive wholesale marketing strategies as input to CLARK marketing strategy
Assess dealer marketing capabilities and provide timely and relevant market intelligence/support to CLARK dealers
Collaborate with and provide recommendations to the CLARK Aftermarket Regional Sales Managers (ARSM) for strategic planning on Merchandising, Marketing, Promotional programs and activities (weekly, monthly, yearly)
Work with Marketing Personnel, Material Managers, ARSMs to prepare literature and/or manuals on Aftermarket programs
Update Intranet and CRM material when necessary
Assist and support Customer Service team when necessary
Communicate and deliver products and mailings to dealerships when requested
Conduct dealer surveys to identify future product interest
Track and notify dealers on any promotion winners
Assist CLARK dealers with vendor/supplier drop ship program inquiries
Meet with vendors/suppliers along with Materials groups to discuss product/issues/programs
Work with Pricing Specialists and Purchasing for large volume purchases for specific dealer initiatives
Prepare Aftermarket presentations for dealer training and dealer meetings
Minimum Qualifications
BA or BS in Business, Marketing or Economics or equivalent experience is preferred
Must have prior experience managing and or selling aftermarket parts commodities, knowledge of CLARK and competitor aftermarket parts and general sales and market knowledge of the forklift and material handling industry is a plus
Must be a problem solver with a proven track record of growing parts market share in the forklift or related industry
Must be able to establish and maintain dealer account confidence.
Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft office programs & be able to create and deliver presentations. Extensive use of Excel and PowerPoint is expected
Must possess the experience & ability to utilize data and make sound recommendations
Must be able to learn, understand and identify issues that are preventing our dealers from buying or selling our parts and deliver solutions to resolve them
Requires good verbal and written communication skills along with a demonstrated teamwork attitude
Self-starter, dependable, self-motivated, & able to be successful with little supervision
Organizational, planning and prioritizing skills required.
Effective use of good judgment.
Must be able to travel (domestic and international) as required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on multiple projects and tasks at one time
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Indefinitely.
