Associate Civil Engineer, Preconstruction

Position summary

The Associate Civil Engineer, Preconstruction supports early‐stage project design and evaluation for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. This role assists Signal Energy’s preconstruction, engineering, and estimating teams by producing high-quality civil deliverables during pursuit, feasibility, and proposal phases. The position emphasizes grading, earthwork, stormwater concepts, layout optimization, and constructability assessment—helping shape projects before detailed design begins.

The Associate Civil Engineer works closely with senior engineers to transform conceptual site layouts and geotechnical data into cost-effective, buildable designs aligned with Signal Energy’s standards for safety, budget, and schedule performance.
