The Role
Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Model: Full-time (100%), Hybrid (Garching, Germany)
Salary: €70,000–€75,000 annual gross
Additional Compensation: Performance-based bonus and stock options
In a frontier deep-tech company, business development means building the engine for growth.
You will work closely with the Founder and Head of Business Development to shape QTAS’ funding strategy, commercial roadmap, and market positioning.
This is a strategic, hands-on role combining non-dilutive funding, pipeline development, customer outreach, and market access.
Your Responsibilities
1. Non-Dilutive Funding and Strategic Grants
Identify and secure relevant German and EU funding programs
Lead and write competitive grant applications (German required)
Manage and challenge external grant consultants
Align funding roadmap with product and clinical milestones
You don’t just manage grants. You design our funding architecture.
2. Commercial Strategy and Pipeline Development
Support development of QTAS’ commercial strategy and value proposition
Identify new customer segments and partnership opportunities
Conduct structured customer outreach and early relationship building
Build, manage, and track the sales pipeline
Contribute to defining scalable pipeline offerings
You help build the commercial backbone of QTAS.
3. Market Access and Positioning
Analyze market access pathways in regulated healthcare environments
Support strategy around reimbursement, clinical validation, and commercialization
Oversee external communication presence, including LinkedIn
Steer external agencies and partners where needed
You shape our narrative. You define the standard and reduce the noise.
Your Experience
Experience in business development, strategy, commercial roles, or related functions. You’ve seen how growth is built.
Experience securing competitive grants or contributing to successful funding applications
Experience managing a sales pipeline
Understanding of healthcare market access and commercialization dynamics
Experience in a regulated, science-driven industry such as medtech, biotech/pharma, or quantum/deep-tech sectors
Strong written communication skills in German and English
Structured, independent, and execution-driven working style
A curious mindset and strong willingness to learn and grow in a frontier environment
