Job Description:
Under the direction of the Asst. Beverage Manager, the Model Bar Porter is responsible for maintaining adequate levels of bar supplies and equipment as required and a high standard of cleanliness to the bar areas to ensure high caliber service to guests. Must have a positive, upbeat attitude and image. All model bar porters must maintain the original mix as hired to maintain their status as a model:
- Positive Upbeat Attitude – team members are selected for their upbeat and positive attitude on hire. We require, in order to keep model job code, this attitude is maintained and continues daily.
- Image – team members are to enhance the company's objective to provide an entertaining environment through maintenance of visual appearance, according to department standards.
- Standards:
- Uniform is clean, fitted by tailor and well maintained. It should reflect the intended look and vibe as designated by department management. The only alterations or changes that may be made are by an approved wardrobe tailor. Female uniform is only available in sizes 0 – 8. Male uniform is available in waists 30” – 36” with tops in proportion as follows: 30” waist, small top. 32” waist, medium top. 34” waist, large top. 36” waist, extra-large top. This can be modified based on a specific build and muscularity if approved by Beverage Manager
- Body presentation must reflect a healthy fit look. Overall body presentation should be identical to that at time of hire at all times.
- Team member appearance should include a well prepared fresh look. Males must be cleanly shaved or well-maintained facial hair. Females must have hair styled and make up. Team members must be ready to work and in proper and complete attire at the start of the shift.
- Failure to maintain standards:
- First violation will result in a “Coaching and Counseling” document with team member and explanation of what they need to improve on in future.
- 2nd violation is Record of Discussion and a date set of 30 days for issue to be addressed.
- 3rd violation is removal of model job code status and repositioning in other role with similar skill set.
- Uniform standards shall be subject to exceptions as noted below and as otherwise required by law.
- If special circumstances require that you be exempt from the uniform standard, you must notify management and Human Resources immediately. Life changing adjustments (at HR’s discretion and only upon a showing of necessity), may include by example and not limitation, pregnancy or other accommodations if required by state or federal disability laws.
- Team Members returning from MLOA or personal LOA will be allowed up to 8 weeks after returning to work to comply with the uniform standards.
- Proper uniform fit and appearance will be determined by department and HR leadership teams based on uniform standards and vendors sizes stated above.

Essential Job Functions:
- Exhibits conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
- Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures
- Maintains bar area relative to supplies, equipment and the removal of empty or soiled articles.
- Ensures that ample supplies of glassware, napkins, straws, ice and garnishes are available during service periods.
- Completes all established bar setup duties in a timely manner.
- Performs work assignments directed by bartender or beverage management.
- Knowledge of and adherence to sanitation practices and procedures to ensure that bars and related equipment remain clean, sanitary and odor-free at all times.
- Knowledgeable of and adherence to food and beverage department regulations and procedures.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Models designer apparel and accessories. May be required to make several costume changes during the scheduled shift.
- Interacts and entertains guests in a cordial and gracious manner, thereby creating a memorable experience and building guest loyalty. Serves as Goodwill Ambassador, using finesse and good judgment.
- Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention and immediately notifies the Assistant Manager if an accident does occur. Informs Assistant Manager of any irregularities, guest complaints or other disputes, which cannot be readily resolved.
- Assists the department head with the training/mentoring of new team members as requested.
- Might participate in a professional photo shoot.
- Acts as a role model to all team members and always presents oneself as a credit to Seminole Gaming and encourages other team members to do the same.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
- Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
- Meets the attendance requirements of the position.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. T.I.P.S. certification and Sanitation certification is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a nightclub and/or entertainment venue highly preferred.
- Current or previous modeling and/or promotions experience within the last five (5) years required.
- Previous experience in upscale gaming lounge and/or similar entertainment environment preferred.
- Must be able and willing to properly wear the assigned uniform or a special event costume.
- Must demonstrate the ability to wear specifically designed clothing\uniform and costumes as needed with flair and techniques associated with modeling industry requirements; posture, gestures and movement.
- If hired in a 24 hour outlet position, the Model Bar Porter must be available to work all shifts; to include Day, Swing and Grave shift.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English while maintaining dialogue with all cultures and ethnicities while upholding a warm, positive and friendly persona at all times.
