Position Summary
Medical Hill Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) to support our rehabilitation team in delivering high-quality care to residents. This role performs a variety of non-clinical support duties that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of rehabilitation services, including equipment management, patient transport, treatment setup, and coordination with therapy staff.The Rehabilitation Technician also assists with monitoring rehabilitation documentation and administrative processes as directed by the supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with and perform treatment setup for physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions while considering patient-specific treatment goals and precautions.
Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
Communicate routinely with supervisors, therapists, and healthcare personnel as directed.
Collaborate with therapists to determine resident scheduling needs as appropriate.
Transport, transfer, and prepare patients and equipment as directed by therapy staff.
Accurately complete and submit logs, reports, and other documentation as assigned.
Direct clinical questions to the supervising therapist and promptly report unusual occurrences to the therapist or supervisor.
Participate in denials management activities to ensure claims and appeals are processed accurately and within required timelines.
Monitor inventory and order office and clinical supplies as needed.
Exercise sound judgment and demonstrate concern for the safety and well-being of patients, residents, coworkers, and visitors.
Attend team meetings, department trainings, and continuing education programs as directed.
Assist with and participate in in-services, exercise programs, wellness activities, and community-related events.
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, resident, and company information.
Adhere to company dress code and facility-specific appearance standards.
Foster positive, professional relationships with patients, residents, families, staff members, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous healthcare, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or therapy support experience preferred.
Ability to safely transport and assist patients with mobility-related activities.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
