RF Test Technician

Proficient with: DC power supplies, digital multimeters, precision oscilloscopes, signal generators, RF power amplifiers, power meters, network analyzers/VNAs (PNA/PNA X), spectrum analyzers (phase noise/spur mode), vector signal analyzer, noise figure meters (or built in NF option), phase noise analyzers, data acquisition/test automation hardware (PXI, NI DAQ, USB digitizers), and ESD controlled clean room workstations with microscope and precision hand tools. Demonstrated experience: Proficient and experienced with bench level CCA testing, including a solid understanding of microwave theory and the operation of key RF building blocks such as low noise amplifiers, phase lock loops, and numerically/digitally controlled oscillators, as well as RF testing and troubleshooting of complex microwave/electronic subsystems, and with a proven ability to set up, operate, and interpret results from the full suite of RF test equipment. This experience should cover the complete measurement chain—from basic DC and power checks using DC power supplies, digital multimeters, and precision oscilloscopes, through RF characterizations using network and spectrum analyzers to obtain S parameters, gain, gain flatness, slope, compression, noise figure, phase noise, phase linearity, AM/PM conversion, spurious emissions, harmonics, and intermodulation. In all cases the technician must be proficient in configuring, calibrating, and maintaining the associated instruments while adhering to cleanroom and ESD protocols and delivering accurate, traceable documentation of test results.Posted Yesterday
