Harborview Medical Center's Emergency Department is seeking highly qualified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our Level I Trauma Center ED.
Under the general administrative supervision of the Assistant Administrator of ARNPs & PA-Cs, this role supports high-acuity emergency care delivery in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
but not limited to:
• Provide clinical expertise to patients and their families
• Serve as a resource for healthcare providers
• Participate in research and teaching programs
• Exercise independent clinical judgment and decision-making
• Work under the guidance of attending physicians, chief residents, and the department Nurse Manager
• Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and clinical practice guidelines, as well as professional standards
• Deliver care in a 24/7 Emergency Department setting
SCHEDULE:
• 90% FTE, Night Shift
REQUIREMENTS:
ARNPs:
• Current or eligible for Washington State RN and ARNP licensure (or multistate license, if applicable)
• Board certification (ANCC or AANP)
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
PAs:
• Current or eligible for Washington State PA licensure
• Board certification (NCCPA)
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
For Both ARNPs & PAs:
• Prescriptive authority
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
