Surgery Scheduler

Scheduler I is a member of the surgery scheduling division.

Scheduler I collaborates closely with fellow schedulers, clinical staff, and providers to maintain efficient workflows and ensure all necessary perioperative steps are completed. This role is responsible for coordinating the patient’s surgery to include: making reservations at the hospital, arranging anesthesia, communicating with PCP offices, coordinating with vendors of surgical devices/implants representatives and surgical assistants, providing the necessary education, instructions, and paperwork, and confirming all steps with all parties before the surgery date. This position requires knowledge of insurance and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
