What you can expect to work on…
Directly responsible for the day-to-day shipping and receiving activities of radioisotopes, including but not limited to the following operational and technical aspects:
- Manages the shipment and receipt of hazardous/nonhazardous materials and products
- Maintains compliance with cGMP, safety and transport operations
- Ensures components and raw materials are accurately documented, inventoried, and stored
- Assists internal customers and resolve logistics issues with professionalism
- Supports daily operations with the receiving, pick, pack, and shipping processes; initiate Purchasing Requisitions as needed to maintain target inventory levels; ensure compliance with applicable procedures and regulations throughout operations
- Conducts inventory cycle counts according to specified frequency to ensure accurate inventory; investigate discrepancies, and incorporate corrective actions
- Operates forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintains a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment

- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years’ experience with document control experience in the shipping/receiving warehouse industry
- Highly efficient with MS Office products and WMS software
- Knowledge and experience with hazardous/non-hazardous labeling standards and practices
- Trained forklift operator
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR record
- Experience handling critical temperature material in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP's)
Great to have…
- Associate’s degree in business or equivalent work experience
- 3 years’ experience in cGMP shipping/receiving warehouse environment
- Experience working in a Lean WHSE environment – 5S, KANBAN, JIT, Kaizen, WHSE automation
- Experience with radioactive materials
- 5+ years’ experience with documented experience in the shipping/receiving warehouse industry
- Dangerous Goods certification/ IATA / DOT Training
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR 210/211
- Knowledge of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations
Other things to know…
- Full-time position
- Niowave’s standard operating hours are Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts
- This position will have regular working hours Monday – Friday with an expectation of adjusting to meet shift work requirements and to engage with staff working outside of standard hours as needed
- Niowave has multiple locations within the Lansing area and travel between locations is expected in the role
- Occasional travel to and from shipping sites (for example: Detroit and Michigan airports)
