Although ER registrars aren't clinical medical providers, they play a key role in keeping hospital operations running smoothly, ensuring patients receive the care they need.

• Greeting patients and visitors
• Collecting information about patient and need for emergency care.
• Managing patient intake forms by explaining paperwork to patients, ensuring the completion of paperwork, filing forms and protecting patient confidentiality.
• Performing administrative tasks like answering the phone, filing paperwork, maintaining the admissions desk area, collecting payments and assisting visitors
