Job Description

What Strategy, Analytics and & Execution in Emerging therapies contributes to Cardinal Health

This role supports Cardinal Health by applying advanced analytics, structured problem-solving, and process excellence to drive data-informed decision-making and execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives. The position enables improved visibility, scalability, and operational rigor across product portfolios, commercial programs, and strategic priorities, helping the organization deliver sustainable growth, customer value, and operational excellence.

This role is expected to leverage modern AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, and similar platforms) to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and enhance insight generation. The ideal candidate proactively incorporates AI into their daily work to improve speed, quality, and decision support.

Responsibilities

Strategy, Analytics & Insight

• Uses AI-assisted analytics tools (e.g., Copilot, Gemini, LLM-based tools) to rapidly synthesize large datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.

• Applies prompt engineering and AI-driven workflows to enhance modeling, reporting, and business case development.

Applies advanced analytical and business judgment to evaluate complex and ambiguous problems, generating actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.

• Develops data-driven analyses, business cases, revenue projections, and performance metrics to support portfolio management, pricing, product roadmapping, and growth initiatives.

• Leverages internal and external data sources, market intelligence, and competitive insights to support prioritization, planning, and decision-making.

• Prepares executive-ready materials and presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Pipeline, Portfolio & Reporting

• Owns and maintains biosimilar and Advanced therapy pipelines, initiative, or product reporting, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across stakeholders.

• Designs and delivers standardized dashboards, reporting tools, and AI-enabled insights (e.g., automated summaries, anomaly detection, predictive signals) to improve visibility and decision support.

• Monitors product or portfolio changes (e.g., launches, exits, substitutions, contract updates) and conducts impact analyses to assess downstream operational and commercial effects.

• Leverages Salesforce data and reporting capabilities to build scalable pipeline visibility, forecasting, and performance tracking tools.

• Utilizes AI tools to automate recurring reporting, generate narrative insights, and reduce manual analysis effort.

Process Design & Operational Excellence

• Identifies opportunities to integrate AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve analytical scalability.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence

• Collaborates with Product, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Analytics teams to enable execution readiness and aligned outcomes.

• Supports sales enablement activities, customer targeting, leadership meetings, and conference preparation as needed.

Professional Leadership

• Recommends new processes, metrics, models, or approaches with meaningful operational or strategic impact.

• Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

• Typically 5–8 years of experience in analytics, strategy, consulting, operations, or related healthcare roles preferred.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional work independently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complexity into clear insights.

• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare services.

• Proficiency with data and reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau, Looker, and Salesforce (including reporting, dashboards, and pipeline management)

• Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and generate business insights

• Knowledge and proficiency with biosimilar and Advanced therapy pipeline tools such as MMIT, IPD, Zymewire

Anticipated salary range: $80,900 - $103,950
