In vitro/ADME Biologist
Job Description
Position Summary:
• Screening support to produce ADME in vitro data in support of driving discovery efforts within Company.
• The position includes performing biological assays using automation technologies to generate ADME endpoint data.
• Additionally, analysis of this data will be a key aspect of the role.
• The position is in a highly matrixed group and teamwork is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• ADME Assays: Perform biological incubations with test compounds in plate formats with ADME-specific reagents and liquid handling equipment.
• Takes raw analytical results and determines ADME endpoint data using IT systems.
• Other Duties: Cell culturing, reagent bank support (inventory, and fulfilling orders), lab infrastructure maintenance.
Minimum Background and Experience:
• Educational background: Bachelor degree or equivalent in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related disciplines;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience with automated liquid handling systems a plus, but not required.
• Experience in an industrial lab where data is produced on a recurring basis is a plus, but not required.
Additional Information:
• Work environment: The person filling this position works in a laboratory that handles human and animal tissues along with Analytical chemistry equipment and infrastructure.
• There may be exposure to chemicals, and biological hazardous materials.
• Work will be conducted in both lab and office facilities.
• MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 SOLID YEARS EXPERIENCE.
MOST CRITICAL: Knowledge of biology, ability to utilize technologies including automation and liquid handling apparatus, familiarity with basic computer programs, teamwork and communication skills.
REQUIRED PERSONALITY TRAITS: Good communication and teamwork skills, Ability to take direction, a self-starter and to learn quickly
