Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety of all patrons at our facility located in Muirwood, Farmington Hills. The ideal candidate will be trained in water rescue techniques, CPR, and first aid, and will maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for swimmers.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Enforce all pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment.
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool area and equipment.
• Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards or maintenance issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist patrons with questions or concerns.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification renewals.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard certification (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA) required.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous lifeguarding experience preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors and indoors in various weather conditions. Lifeguards must be able to stand for long periods and respond quickly in emergency situations.
