Job Description

Administer the Board's day-to-day operations as mandated by law, regulation and Board policy. This work includes preparing for and supporting the regular Board meetings required to perform their functions as defined by law. Supporting, developing and managing Board staff; and developing, implementing, and managing internal policies, budget, licensing process, disciplinary enforcement process, assisted living caregiver, administrator and manager training and testing programs.

The Executive Director will review audit reports, meet with audit teams, implement required changes, hire, train and manage staff and maintain effective relationships with other state agencies, elected officials, private sector organizations, and the public.

The Executive Director will also ensure the Board complies with its own statutes and rules as well as other applicable Executive Orders, State and Federal statutes, such as Open Meeting Laws, Public Record Laws and other State regulations and any special initiatives required by the Board or as directed by the State.

Additionally, the position will provide training and technical assistance to long term care and assisted living facility professionals, the public and Board staff regarding Manager and Administrator licensing and certification requirements including any due process afforded the NCIA’s regulated community for alleged violations.
