Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the day shift, Monday through Friday, with a weekend call rotation. The day shift start times can vary between 7:30AM - 9AM, following an 8 hour shift.

 

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.

 

The MRI Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians by creating patient specific diagnostic images. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient care
  • Performs examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional.
  • Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness
  • Documents patient information
  • Ensures proper film identification on all images
  • Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging
  • Accurate film marking and jacket preparation
  • Achieves quality diagnostic images by use of proper positioning of patients and correct operation of equipment.
  • Performs training and education duties
  • Participates in the orientation of new employees.
  • Responsible for the training of students
  • Participates in the training of health care professionals and new employees.
  • Maintains equipment
  • Correctly operates equipment
  • Optimizes use of equipment
  • Understands the structure visualized and its significance

Required Qualifications

  • ARRT Certification
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience
  • Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements
  • MRI Certification within 1-1/2 Yrs
