PT/ Weekday- Direct Support Professional (DSP) Support Services
Harford County/ Joppa area
Rate of Pay $22/hr
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
We are seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on care to an individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Personal Support Services professionals assist individuals and families living in their personal home.
Support needed for a young man who would like to work on being active in his community and working on skills at home. Interests include video games, watching basketball, history films, music, computers, and soccer.
This position is:
20 hours/ week weekends or evenings
The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.
Job Responsibilities:
Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
Provide assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.
Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships
Complete required documentation (e.g., incident reports, progress notes, behavior data, fire drills etc.)
Some assistance with personal care needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D required
Must be at least 20 years of age
Must have at least 2 years of driving experience
Current driver’s license (not provisional) with less than 3 points on driving record
Requires use of personal cell phone for mobile documentation and time keeping
Must have personal vehicle to transport participants to community outing
Some lifting and transferring may be required
