Experienced Quality Systems Specialist – FOD and Tool Control

Join Boeing Defense, Space & Security, a leader in aerospace innovation, as an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist supporting Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and Tool Control initiatives. In this role, you will ensure compliance with company policies and drive continuous improvement in FOD and tool control processes to meet program, contract, customer, regulatory, and international standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce quality directives, policies, procedures, and metrics related to FOD and tool control
  • Analyze process data, metrics, and workflows to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Assist in root cause analysis of nonconformance issues and lead corrective action efforts
  • Drive process improvement projects focused on BDS FOD and Tool Control
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions
  • Conduct assessments and audits to verify compliance with quality management systems, configuration assurance, and regulatory requirements, report findings to management
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and potential risks; develop strategies and metrics aligned with business objectives
  • Prepare analytical reports and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on quality procedures and FOD/tool control requirements, ensuring alignment with BPI-6533 standards

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ year of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA)
  • 3+ years of experience leading improvement projects using continuous improvement methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience working in multi-functional teams
  • 5+ years experience in aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ year of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment with strong communication skills for interacting with leadership, internal and external customer representatives.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing lean principle
  • Proven ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership
  • 3+ years of experience auditing to quality system standards

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $95,200 - $128,800
