The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Product Engineering Manager (Level K) to join the Product Development organization based in North Charleston, SC.
As the Product Engineering Manager, you will be leading a cross-functional team of Production Engineers to mature technology and production capabilities for the future BCA product.
A successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and sustaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers. They will possess strong problem-solving skills, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work across multiple functions to lead the development and implementation of processes and plans. Being adaptable and quick to learn is crucial. Additionally, technical leadership and aptitude are indispensable for success in this role, along with people leadership skills to develop and inspire a cross-functional team to reach a shared goal and vision.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage Engineering and Technical Teams:
Supervise and guide employees involved in production engineering and technical activities
Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
Project and Process Management:
Develop and execute detailed project and process plans
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
Set and monitor operational goals to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
Resource Acquisition and Supplier Management:
Acquire necessary resources for projects and processes
Provide technical management and oversight of suppliers
Lead efforts in process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
Relationship and Partnership Development:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization
Technical Oversight and Approval:
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
Ensure all engineering activities meet the highest standards of quality and technical excellence
Employee Development and Motivation:
Manage, develop, and motivate team members
Foster an environment of continuous learning and professional development

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
Willing to work second shift, weekends and holidays if required
Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time both domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
