Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Operations Engineering Manager (PCBA, NPI and Wave Soldering) located in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Operations Engineering Manager (PCBA, NPI and Wave Soldering) role involves being responsible for the set-up and operation of a wave solder machine for soldering within the process. Adjusts the speed, temperature and makes other adjustments to accommodate varying types and sizes of products.  

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels. 

• Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI. 

• Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints. 

• Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence. 

• Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices. 

• Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to. 

• Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews. 

• Coach and mentor Operations team.  

• Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes. 

• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce. 

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience
• English spoken & written
• Full experience with PCBA Eng process support and KOI report and NPI support.
• Expertise on equipment and process for PTH soldering processes such as wave solder, selective solder and others. Waver solder and selective profiler.
• Wave and selective solder tooling developing & procurement.
• Knowledge on IPC-610 PCBA Soldering standard criteria.
• Problem solving structured analysis and follow up continuous improvement plans.
• Technical supervising of Eng & technicians for support & developing skills.
• Depanelization process expertise
• Adhesive dispensing equipment and process expertise.
• Knowledge of design manufacturing standards for PCBA
