🛠️What You’ll Do:  

Role Summary: As the Base AME, you will be responsible for managing multiple company aircrafts as well as any additional aircraft as required for operations in Ottawa (YOW) and Montreal (YUL). You will plan, coordinate, and perform maintenance activities to ensure aircraft airworthiness, reliability, and operational readiness, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and flight schedules.

This role will require travel, as you will be responsible for supporting operations in both YOW and YUL, with frequent travel between the two locations to meet operational needs.

  • Act as a Base AME supporting Challenger 605 and King Air aircraft at both YOW and YUL locations, as well as any other aircraft in the company fleet that require maintenance support.
  • Play a key role in keeping private aircraft operational by performing maintenance in full compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Dismantle and assemble aircraft systems for repair and overhaul.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft defects and carry out corrective action.
  • Remove, install, and functionally test aircraft components.
  • Certify that all technical records are originated and retained for all inspections and maintenance functions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all work performed to support a reliable and compliant record system.
  • Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines.
  • Ensure only approved equipment and materials are used while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Work in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company-wide, maintenance, and health & safety policies and procedures.
  • May be assigned to other operational areas, based on business requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

🎯What You Bring: 

  • A valid Canadian AME M2 license.
  • Minimum five years’ experience as an M2 licensed AME.
  • Challenger 605& King Air 350maintenance certification are considered an asset.
  • Experience in aircraft periodic inspections and heavy inspections.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret technical publications, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Diagnostic skills requiring sound knowledge of aircraft systems, aerodynamics, aircraft structures and basic applied mechanics.
  • Ability to perform duties such as disassembling aircraft systems, removal of defective components and installing replacement parts, components and structures.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, professional, ethical and committed to excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong capacity to learn, adapt & work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Must qualify for a RAIC and AVOP passes.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule to accommodate aircraft departure and arrival times. 
  • Occasional travel may be required to support extended trips and out-of-base AOGs.
  • Physical requirements include climbing into and under various aircraft; walking around, standing, and crouching, all for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 23 kg.

Hours of Work:

  • This role operates in a continuous operations environment and requires occasional flexibility beyond established working hours.
