POSITION TYPE: Seasonal- Full Time and Part Time
WAGE RANGE: $17 hourly plus tips
SUPERVISORY: No SUPERVISED BY: Sky House FOH Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Cleans and maintains Sky House lodge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS: WORK ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN! Cleans and Maintains Sky House lodge, restrooms, and snow removal. In charge of trash removal, daily cleaning including windows, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping. Will perform daily deep cleaning tasks. Must have knowledge of custodial cleaning supplies and how to use them. Will help with recycling program. Will be responsible for snow removal with snowblower, shovel and ice pick. Will keep walkways clear of snow and ice to ensure safe walkways. Will replace sheer pins on snowblowers. Will bus tables and clean dining rooms. Will also perform other duties as assigned including helping the bar, stocking, and assisting servers. Must have open availability. The typical shift is 8am-4pm, the ability to leave earlier, after tasks are completed is an option.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Can vary physical position for comfort; position requires standing/ walking for up to 8 hours; breaks are available. Will lift to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on an occasional basis; will use hands for grasping, pushing/pulling tables and fine manipulation. Worksite is 95% inside and 5% outside. Exposed to extreme temperatures and moisture 5% of the time. Hazards are fumes, odors, dusts, mechanical, and chemicals. Required to wear rubber gloves when cleaning toilets/urinals.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be willing to obtain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items. Skiing or snowboarding background helpful.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
SKILLS: Cleaning and hygiene requirements
EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communications; basic math
EXPERIENCE: Some cleaning experience preferred but not required
LICENSE NEEDED: None
MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Vacuums, mops, cleaning supplies (chemicals), hand tools, snowblower, snow shovel, ice pick.
