Job Description
As a Junior General Ledger Accountant, you will be part of a team of over 30 professionals executing Record to Report processes for 60+ entities across the Embla Medical world.
This role is a great opportunity to start or develop your career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in financial reporting processes.
You will support the team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring high-quality reporting within the organization.
The role follows a hybrid model, with 2–3 days per week in our Szczecin office.
What will you do:
Support month, quarter, and year-end closing activities
Post journal entries such as accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications
Assist with intercompany postings and reconciliations
Support the maintenance of fixed asset registers, including asset additions and disposals
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist with P&L analysis
Help ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data
Support the preparation of financial statements for reporting purposes
Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation
Maintain process documentation and learn standard procedures
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different regions
What do you need to be successful in this role?
A background in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, supported by at least one year of experience in finance or accounting.
Experience in a GBS/SSC environment would be an additional advantage.
A basic understanding of accounting principles is important, as well as communicative English and Polish skills, both written and spoken.
You should also feel comfortable working with MS Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
