Job Description
Are you motivated by negotiations, strategic thinking, and improving cost performance? We’re looking for a colleague to support category purchasing team for defined technologies and suppliers, shaping our supply strategy and securing the best market conditions for AUMOVIO.
What You Will Do
- Manage a purchasing volume within your assigned category
- Develop and implement material and supplier strategies based on internal needs and market analysis, identify bundling opportunities and handle non‑conformance cost discussions with suppliers and ensure contract lifecycle management with compliant documentation
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and ensure compliance with sustainability and legal standards
- Drive supplier selection, market analysis, benchmarking, and sourcing decisions
- Lead annual negotiations, frame contracts, and cost‑improvement discussions with suppliers
- Initiate and support value engineering, redesign, cost‑reduction and supplier performance programs
- Guide internal stakeholders in using purchasing processes, tools, and methods
- Ensure timely and accurate data maintenance in purchasing systems and support monthly controlling/target tracking
What makes you a best fit
- University degree in Economics or Technical studies, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ year of relevant experience in purchasing or a related technical field
- Strong negotiation, communication, and decision‑making skills in an international environment
- Comfortable collaborating with R&D, SQM, Plants, and cross‑functional teams
- Good understanding of purchasing processes and technical components
- English at a level that enables communication with global stakeholders
- Experience with SAP is required
