Cognos BI Architect

Minimum 4+ years overall Cognos development and Support experience
Should be well versed with Cognos architecture and must have idea about development projects support projects.
Team handling experience in a multi geographical environment. Prior experience in handling multiple stake holders. Customer handling.
Need to communicate directly with customers to address their concerns.
Hands-on experience with the Cognos reporting tool suite Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer in Cognos BI 10.2.x
Ability to independently develop Framework Manager Models and advanced Report Studio and or Analysts Studio reports is required.
Strong experience developing report studio reports using Cognos DMR model
Strong experience in creating Dimensional Reports.
Data extraction from SQL Server MS Excel and load data into QVDs.
Design dashboard building business logic for creation of reports.
Build and maintaining QVDs and QVWs
Create different Charts in Dashboards
Implement Periodic Calculations
Ability to collaborate on a team with infrastructure, data warehouse, and business analyst resources, and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical team members.
Ability to troubleshoot query issues during report development using a methodical approach, including comparing the tabular data from Cognos queries with Teradata queries on the data warehouse database based on the report specification.
Strong understanding of BI and Data Warehouse database concepts.

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in IT and business intelligence.
Strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts.
Ability to independently work on multiple projects with minimal supervision and also to function effectively is a team member.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. In addition, the ability to teach and cross-train others.
Extremely disciplined, self-motivated and detail oriented.
