Role Summary:

As an Associate, Performance, you will support the delivery of strategic initiatives and process enablement activities across the Performance team, working closely with the SimCorp product owner and cross-functional partners across Finance and Technology & Operations. The role is primarily focused on stakeholder coordination, execution support, process documentation, and analysis related to priority initiatives impacting Performance platforms, workflows, and data.

The Performance team sits at the intersection of data, investment strategy, and decision-making at CPP Investments. We deliver trusted, data-driven insights that explain performance across a global, multi-asset portfolio. Our work spans portfolio and benchmark returns, and attribution analysis, providing a clear view of what is driving results. With a focus on accuracy and transparency at scale, we support the evaluation of strategies and contribute directly to informed investment decisions. Through close partnership across the organization, we play a key role in advancing the Fund’s long-term performance.

Accountabilities & Qualifications:

Accountabilities:

  • Support the SimCorp product owner in delivery and enablement activities, including intake coordination, requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, execution tracking, and reporting support

  • Coordinate and support delivery of key Performance initiatives

  • Contribute to process design, documentation, operating procedures, and operational readiness for new or enhanced capabilities

  • Support the coordination and execution of analytics and GenAI-enabled initiatives within the Performance function, in alignment with established governance and controls

  • Support issue tracking, investigation, and resolution coordination for data, process, or platform-related items affecting Performance deliverables

  • Provide ad hoc support for Performance BAU-related activities, where required and capacity permits

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Experience supporting delivery, coordination, or process improvement initiatives across business and technology stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, product, and technical teams

  • Working knowledge of investment performance concepts, including returns, benchmarks, attribution, and data validation

  • Experience working with SimCorp Dimension or similar investment/performance platforms considered an asset

  • Experience with GenAI-related use cases or innovation initiatives in an enterprise-controlled environment considered an asset

  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, or Python for analysis and investigation considered an asset

  • Relevant professional designation (for example CFA, CPA, or equivalent) considered an asset
