BAE Systems is seeking a Quality Director to lead the Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) business area within the Advanced Compact EW Systems (ACES) product line. In this critical leadership role, you will champion operational excellence by guiding a high-performing team to achieve mission success across the entire program and product lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Oversight: Drive excellence in quality assurance, continuous process improvement, and end-to-end lifecycle management.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the implementation of permanent, mistake-proofed corrective actions utilizing quality science tools and the 8D methodology.
  • Standardization: Integrate APQP standards for key products through the rigorous application of FMEA, Control Plans, Capability Studies, and MSA.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with internal and external customers to ensure world-class program execution.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience
  • Capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of War (DoW) [Secret/Top Secret] security clearance with ability to obtain special access clearances [if applicable]
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g. AS9100/ISO 9001, CMMI)
  • Experienced with root cause corrective action (RCCA)
  • Strong problem solving and risk management skills leveraged to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the business and warfighter
  • Familiarity with lifecycle management (LCM) process and project management
  • Customer skills including ability to develop solid, working customer relationships with credibility
  • Business acumen, leadership, and cross-functional influence
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Experienced with quality tools and methodologies (e.g. 8D and Lean Six Sigma)
  • Experience with AS9145 APQP


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
