Buchheit Metals Shop
DEPARTMENT: Buchheit Metals
REPORTS TO: Buchheit Metals Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
POSITION TYPE: Full-time
POSITION SUMMARY:
Metal Shop worker will run a roll former and trim machine for metal. You will ensure all pieces manufactured are suitable for the shipment. You must have a good work ethic and are able to be on your feet for most of the day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up the machines to perform the needed task for the order needing to be manufactured.
- Verifies that the order has been completed and inspects to make sure it is free from defect.
- Bundles or wraps the order to be shipped or picked up
- Ability to stand or walk on concrete floor for 8+ hours
- Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures
- Ability to work with hands
- Safety awareness of anything in the shop that may be hazardous to employees or visitors.
- Additional duties, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities, with enthusiasm
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Ability to:
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Demonstrate initiative and effective problem-solving skills within the scope of the position
