
Reservation Agent
Job Description
- Handle and process reservations with accuracy, efficiency, and a focus on delivering excellent service.
- Maximize room sales through proactive selling and up‑selling techniques.
- Review daily reservations and ensure all information is accurate and communicated to the correct departments.
- Verify guest and small group arrival details, preferences, and pricing.
- Support administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, and email communication.
- Maintain a strong sales mindset, converting every enquiry into an opportunity.
- Partner with the Reservations and Group & Tour teams to maximize revenue.
- Ensure commissions, rejected business, and guest information are documented correctly.
- Follow credit policies, pricing controls, brand standards, and hotel procedures.
- Maintain exceptional guest service standards and tidy workspaces.
- Support team members and carry out additional duties as required.
- A high school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification
- Strong customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and reservation platforms
- A guest‑focused mindset and confidence in selling
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
