What we are looking for:

  •  Complete routine inspections and maintenance as assigned
  • Check fans, belts, motor drives, and lights to determine if repairs are needed. And, repair as required.
  • Ensure proper equipment maintenance including oil/filter changes, adjustments to equipment to improve performance, checking hydraulic and oil levels
  • Ensure safety devices are working
  • Clean and replace filters in patient rooms, penthouses and corridors
  • Check operation and complete minor repairs as needed on freezers, refrigerators and ice machines
  • Completes repairs as stated on Eng/Maintenance requisitions
  • Completes routine inspections and maintenance as assigned
  • Completes Preventive Maintenance
  • Maintains safety and cleanliness of mechanical areas
  • Perform locksmith duties, cutting keys, repairing doors and troubleshooting automatic door operators
  • Inspect outdoor building condition and take corrective action.
  • Maintain courtyards and general clean-up including sweeping entrances, sidewalks and daily pick-up of garbage from outside trash containers
  • Assist with construction as needed 

What you bring to the role:

  • A minimum of 3 years of recent and related experience in general maintenance
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the use of industrialized grounds equipment coupled with evidence of good working knowledge of mechanical repairs gained through previous related work experience in an industrial setting
  • Valid G driver’s license
  • Previous computer experience; experience with preventative maintenance systems is a requirement
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Evidence of good initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently and as a member of the team
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Work Schedule:

 

The successful candidate will be required to work shifts based on operational and seasonal needs of the department.

Shifts will be a variety of: 7:00am- 3:00pm, 7:30am-3:30pm, 8:00am- 4:00pm, 8:30am- 4:30pm, 9:00am-5:00pm

Range:

$27.84 - $30.86
