Our Legal Department plays a critical role in enabling business growth while managing risk, accelerating speed to value, and supporting innovation across UL Solutions’ global operations.
- Works with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop knowledge of internal customer groups to effectively target recruitment efforts in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Assists in the development of tailored recruitment strategies that address specific needs of each position.
- Utilizes creative sourcing techniques to identify top active and passive talent for a variety of positions within the organization.
- Presents and sells ULs value proposition to candidates by articulating a clear and compelling message about ULs mission and values.
- Manages full cycle recruitment process for candidates by coordinating with HR Shared Service on interview scheduling, conducting pre-screen employment processes and generating new hire paperwork.
- Ensures compliance by maintaining candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to hiring managers.
- Provides counsel on the talent market, hiring decisions and offer negotiations.
- Stays up-to-date on the latest recruiting industry trends and tools and shares best practices with the HR team.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- University Degree (Equivalent to a Bachelors Degree) in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration or a related discipline, plus generally 2-4 years of recruiting experience in a corporate environment or as an agency recruiter.
- Candidate must have recruiting experience to be considered.
- Agency experience is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to identify and recruit talent in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success utilizing social networks pro-actively to source candidates.
- Ability to alternate sourcing techniques to find potential candidates.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience building relationships with employees at all levels of an organization.
- Working knowledge of labor law and how it applies to interviewing, selection, recruitment, and placement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively coordinate multiple jobs, projects, and administrative duties simultaneously.
