Survey Field Technician

Description
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Assist Party Chief: Support the Party Chief in daily survey operations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain survey equipment under the guidance of the Party Chief.
- Safety Compliance: Know, understand, and demonstrate safe operation of assigned equipment, and maintain safety standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep equipment charged, clean, and in good working order.
- Punctuality and Reliability: Must be punctual and reliable in carrying out assigned duties.
- Field Work: Cut and clear brush along survey lines, drive rebar, stakes, hubs in the ground, and perform other field tasks as required.
- Data Collection: Collect data of existing features for various survey operations such as Boundary, Topographic, ALTA, Route surveys, etc.
- Survey Procedures: Have a working knowledge of proper survey procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need
- Experience: Prior survey experience and/or specialized vocational training in survey technology preferred, but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with total station, robotic total station, RTK base rove GPS, VRS GPS, and levels, with preference given to experience with Trimble equipment.
- Driving Record: Must have an insurable driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform moderately strenuous tasks, including lifting and carrying instruments weighing up to 75 pounds over rough terrain.
- Availability: Ability to work locally or out of town for extended periods.
- Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times.
- Teamwork: Ability to carry out instructions and tasks assigned by the Party Chief.
