Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on relationship building and networking with existing and prospective clients by understanding their existing & future funding / financial needs and provide insights of the Bank’s products & services, providing accurate information of the Bank’s products & services to clients and drive the Bank’s initiatives and consistently improve the level of service to clients.
- Market corporate loans and Group Wholesale Banking (GWB) products & services (including deposits, treasury and cash management related products) to clients and evaluate the credit quality of the Bank’s corporate loan portfolio in various industries and client bases.
- Prepare credit proposals for submission to the relevant approving authorities & ensure speedy turnaround time. This includes identifying pertinent credit-related issues and work out viable financing solution for clients, conducting pre-sanction visits & interview loan applicants and handling post-approval work.
- Ensure all transactions comply with applicable regulatory framework/guidelines and the Group’s policies and procedures.
- Work closely with product partners to introduce and proactively cross-sell financial products within the GWB division including FX, derivatives, bonds, cash management & trade finance products to clients.
- Monitor loan/income growth and quality of loans portfolio to meet annual budget targets.
- Conduct post sanction visits to ensure that the loans granted are properly utilized.
- Monitor loan repayment activities and take steps to collect overdue loans.
- Monitor and manage loan portfolio to ensure any deterioration in the asset quality is properly escalated to the relevant authorities.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Banking / Investment Banking.
- Degree in Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting / Finance or related discipline.
- Having professional qualifications such as Chartered Banker, ACCA (or its equivalent), Banking and Financial Services Certificate (BFSC) or Certified Credit Professional (CCP) will be an added advantage.
- Possess strong accounting/financial analytical, credit evaluation, financial modeling and business writing/presentation skills as well as good understanding of the corporate banking and GWB products.
