Starting Pay: $29.75 and up (depending on experience)
Essential Job Functions:
Under the general direction of the Plumbing lead person and the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for performing duties related to light new construction, routine and preventive interior and exterior plumbing maintenance, and repairs and installations throughout the district's 35 buildings. Perform other work-related duties as requested by the Plumbing Lead Person, Maintenance Manager, or senior management staff; may require occasional weekend work.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and a high school graduate or have obtained a GED
- must have demonstrated excellent job performance and attendance
- must be at least a County licensed master plumber
- must possess and maintain minimum Missouri Class E driver's license or equivalent accompanied by an excellent driving record
- must be self-motivated and able to work overtime and respond to 24-hour on-call emergency service if needed
- must be proficient in soldering, brazing
- must be able to prioritize duties in a changing environment and meet deadlines
- must possess the ability to be a team leader
- must possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to relate to a diverse student population, staff, administration, workforce, contractors, and suppliers
- must be computer literate and be familiar with work order systems, word processing, spreadsheets and scheduling software
- must work in a supportive manner with building administration and staff
- must be able to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation
