We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team.
Position: Drill Operator
We are seeking for an experienced Drill Operator to join our team in Mashonaland West (Zimbabwe).
Operational Responsibilities
Conduct pre-start checks of the assigned drilling equipment.
Operate Down-The-Hole (DTH), Top Hammer and Reverse Circulation drill rigs in open-pit environments.
Follow drilling plans, layouts, and depth specifications provided by the supervisor.
Execute drilling activities according to design and production schedule.
Accurately record drilled holes and shift activity data.
Perform daily greasing and lubrication of the drilling equipment as required.
Safety Responsibilities
Attend daily pre-start meetings.
Perform visual safety checks before operating machinery and promptly report defects or mechanical issues.
Operate the machine only within authorized areas and according to established safety zones.
Comply with EPSA’s safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Immediately report any unsafe conditions, near-miss incidents, or accidents to your supervisor.
Environmental Responsibilities
Comply with EPSA’s environmental policies and practices.
Ensure operations are conducted with minimal environmental impact.
Qualifications
Secondary education certificate or equivalent.
Valid heavy equipment operating license.
Training in mine safety procedures.
At least 5 years’ experience working in remote or international locations with similar equipment.
Ability to read and interpret operational instructions.
Basic knowledge of drilling software or logging systems.
Pre-Employment Requirements
