About the Company
Our client is a Series B proptech company headquartered in London, providing a data and analytics platform that helps real estate investors, developers, and asset managers make better acquisition and asset management decisions. With £30m raised, a growing enterprise client base spanning sovereign wealth funds, REITs, and major developers, and a pipeline of major institutional deals, the business is building its BD function to accelerate enterprise growth. The founding team has backgrounds from JLL, CBRE, and McKinsey.
The Role
As Head of Business Development, you will build and lead the company's enterprise sales and BD function, defining the strategy, building the pipeline, and personally closing the highest-value deals. You will work directly with the CEO to shape the commercial approach, and will have the opportunity to build a team around you as the function grows.
What You'll Do
Define the enterprise business development strategy, including target segments, outreach approach, and deal playbook.
Build and own a pipeline of institutional and enterprise prospects across real estate investment, development, and asset management.
Lead end-to-end enterprise sales processes, from initial outreach through to commercial negotiation and contract execution.
Develop and manage senior-level relationships with existing clients, driving retention and upsell opportunities.
Work with Product and Customer Success to ensure commercial feedback shapes the platform roadmap and client experience.
What We're Looking For
8–12 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or a senior commercial role, with a track record of closing large institutional deals.
Deep understanding of the real estate investment or asset management landscape, able to engage credibly with real estate professionals at a senior level.
Strong commercial instincts and negotiation skills, comfortable managing complex, long-cycle enterprise sales processes.
Leadership experience, able to build a team and create a high-performance BD culture.
Experience with data, analytics, or PropTech products is a strong advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of £100,000 – £130,000, depending on experience.
Uncapped commission on enterprise deals.
Equity options in a high-growth proptech business.
