Hunt Valley Animal Hospital is a busy, 7-doctor practice located in the heart of Northern Baltimore County. We are proud to provide high-quality veterinary care to pets and families throughout Cockeysville, Hunt Valley, Timonium, and the surrounding Baltimore County communities. Hunt Valley Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, organized, and service-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you play a vital role in creating a positive and seamless experience from check-in to checkout.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with pet owners, multitasking in a busy hospital setting, and being an important part of a collaborative veterinary team.


Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

  • Provide warm, professional client service to pet owners and patients
  • Answer phones, schedule veterinary appointments, and gather patient history
  • Process invoices and payments accurately
  • Verify vaccination and medical record status
  • Communicate patient arrivals and needs with veterinarians and technical staff
  • Prepare prescription, food, and OTC product requests as directed
  • Maintain accurate records in veterinary practice management software
  • Support smooth daily hospital operations and front-desk workflow

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or medical reception role preferred
  • Genuine passion for animal health and client care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary environment
  • Comfortable with computers and scheduling software
  • Positive, dependable, team-oriented attitude
